The New Children's Museum Block Party

The San Diego Children's Coalition hosted a fun Pumpkin decorating booth at the New Children's Museum Block Party on Saturday & Sunday, Oct 15th & 16th! The event was a tremendous success attended by hundreds of families!

Throughout both days, there was live entertainment, hands-on artmaking, foodtruck cuisine, trapeze acts, farmers market, environmental and community exhibitors, interactive demonstrations, raffle prizes, and special activities!
The Children's Coalition would also like to thank our many volunteers, the New Children's Museum for the invitation, and a special thanks to our new Media Partner, the San Diego Family Magazine for participating by donating games, videos, magazines, and more!

CHILDREN'S BIKE GIVEN AWAY!

At the end of the Block Party, the Children's Coalition gave away a children's bike donated by Wells Fargo. Three local kids who decorated pumpkins at our booth helped draw for the bike. The winner of the 20" Schwinn bicycle was Paul Nestor who is shown with the local girl scout troop. Paul intends to donate the bike to the San Diego Center for Children located in Linda Vista. Congratulation to Paul and the Center for Children!!!
